If we genuinely commit ourselves to having an optimistic, cheerful approach to daily life, that frame of mind will become our normal – and conditioning is a big part of getting there.

Conditioning Our Mind

Whether we realize it or not, we condition our minds every single day. If we wake up in a mood and despite being conscious of that negative mood, we let it fester, in essence, we’re conditioning our sub-conscience to let that negativity become our mood for the day. If we grumble and complain and simmer in that negativity, we’ve let it happen. On the flip side, we can condition our minds to be more positive — to have that positive, brighter outlook and approach to life.

For Example…

How many times have you had a difficult friend or co-worker and you say to yourself “I’m not going to let him ruin my day,” or maybe you have a tough task at school or work and you say quietly aloud “I can do this!” That is conditioning, but its also using positive affirmations — and those are basically brief phrases or thoughts repeated regularly to help give us strength and encouragement.

I happen to be a big fan of positive affirmations, but for me, we need to actually believe them and, put them into action. So we can say “I am good enough” as many times as we want, but until we truly believe it and let it bloom in our sub conscience, they haven’t got real power. The power of positive affirmations, comes from faith and confidence that we have the ability and the desire to be more positive.

I also believe that we need to change up our positive affirmations every now and then. I’m thrilled to share 25 positive affirmations to help get you started — once you see their positive effect, come up with your own and see how marvelous they can be!
